System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2016 TP2 Integrated with Azure

06/03/2015

One of the novelties of the System Center Technical Preview 2 is in the Virtual Machine Manager now integrates VMs you have in the Azure, which let us orphan with the end of the app controller.

To do this simply go to the console in Azure Subscriptions and insert signatures.

To find the signatures in the web panel of Azure and copy the signature ID and download the certificate in management of tab settings, like the image below:

VMMAzure-3

Multiple signatures may be added in VMM:

VMMAzure-1

VMM will automatically populate the list of VMs each signature, integrating the visualization:

VMMAzure-2

From the integration it is possible to generate reports, view the settings, start and stop VMs and automate with Orchestrator.

There are still limitations, for example it is not possible to create VMs in VMM console what I hope will be possible when there is the launch of System Center 2016.
