SCCM 2007 Console does not connect to the database (site mode error)

This error happens frequently on clients, then found by defining the reason and the solution.

SYMPTOM

When you try to open the SCCM console, you receive the message below.

CAUSE

Usually this happens because the current user is not the same that made the SCCM installation. Permissions in SCCM are granular and not integrated with AD, therefore being a Domain Admin won’t give permissions to SCCM.

SOLUTION

Enter the original user who performed the installation of SCCM, go in the menu "Security Rights" – > "Users" and create a new user asking for permissions to copy the permissions of the current administrator, as the image below.

Hey Presto! Now your user will be able to access normally.
